Draenai
A) History:
Inspired by heroic tales of the Federation and its victories against the burning Legion, the draenei sought out and pledged their loyalty to the courageous dwarves of ironforge, and the noble human lords of stormwind. Armed with their unshakable faith in the Light, the draenai venture forth in support of all federation interests.
It is not understood why, Velen remains alive and well to this day. He was recently granted a dire vision concerning a war between the forces of light and darkness that would take place on Azeroth. vowing to uphold their commitment to the federation, the draenei now bravely prepare to stand against the forces of darkness.
B) Role Playing:
All draenai have great posture, and always present themselves honorably, tall and proud. They consider themselves to be champions of the weak and defenseless. By possessing a great sense of morality, Draenai are the most honorable beings in all the realm. They are mentally incapable of telling lies, or practicing deceit of any kind. Their culture is magically advanced, due to reverse engineering the super-massive spell jammer that they used to escape draenor.
Draenai are also very humble, and always very serious. However, they occasionally show humor among their most trusted allies, by telling dry jokes. To them, their jokes are very funny because they typically involve a play on words. However, most others consider draenai humor to be bland. Despite this, draenai always give a hardy laugh that has a way of diffusing tense situations. Most of the time, people who hear a draenai's joke don't laugh at the joke itself, but more so they laugh at the hardiness of the draenai laughing at his own joke.
all draenai also have a very grave and stately vocabulary, to go along with their powerful and deep voices. They never use foul language, and very rarely use slang words, much less insult someone verbally, mentally or emotionally. They always display great levels of patience with people of lesser intelligence and sophistication. Draenai often use words such as "compatriots", "Comrades", "Hero" or similar words to describes their friends. They will use words such as "Combatant", "Evil-doer", or "Ruffian" to describe their foes. In combat, draenai do not believe in practicing subtlety or silence at all. they are often chanting, yelling, singing hymns, or verbally making combat sounds ("boom!" "Thwack!" "Hi-yaah!!") as they strike their foes.
C) Racial features:
1) Heroic Presence: all Draenai are natural leaders, and exude great levels of confidence and
steadfastness. As such, all Draenai have a "Heroic Presence". This gives them a +1 to all
mechanics, for every 4 levels of the draenai while in combat only.
2) proficiency: all draenai are very attuned to the magical ley lines of the world. As such, all
draenai get the spellcraft proficiency as a free slot.
3) Proficiency: all draenai are devoutly religious. In addition, all draenai honor the religious
beliefs of their allies. As such, all draenai get the religion proficiency as a free slot.
4) Resistance to evil: due to their extreme holiness and unmatched heroism, all draenai have
developed a natural resistance to necromantic magic and evil effects. as such, all draenai get a
+1 to saving throws against polymorph, poison, and death magic; as well as spells that are
specifically of the necromantic school of magic.
5) Gift of the naaru: Because of the purity of the draenai's soul, the naaru have imbued the entire
race with the ability to magically heal themselves, or an ally (of good alignment only) once per
day. The healing effect cleanses the target of any demonic possession, and heals their physical
form for 10 hit points, plus 3 hit points per level of the draenai.
6) The Naaru’s chosen: Draenai add 1 additional HP per level up to hit dice level.
D) Restrictions:
1) Draenai most all be worshipers of the light.
2) Alignment: draenai can only be of a good alignment. (LG, NG, CG)
3) Allowable classes: warrior, Paladin, Ranger, monk, Priest, Shaman. (6 total)
4) Minimum of a 12 in all stats, except dex for male and female draenai.
E) Other:
1) Language: Eredor
2) Life span: due to the death of yggdrassil - the world tree, standard human years.
3) Height: males range from 6'2" to 6'6". Females range from 5'8" to 6'0".
4) Coloration and distinguishing marks:
* hair color: from Jet Black to Silvery white. Some males have tendrils that act as hair, that
grows from their chins or their scalp. some females grow horns on their scalp, that look
like ram's horns. All female draenai are thin, graceful, and lithe. they also have very
pretty faces by human standards. All males are stocky, and have very chiseled
features by human standards. Males sometimes grow boney protrusions on their scalp, that
look more like living crystal than bone, but this is rare, and it is basically considered hair,
or a head dressing.
* Eye color: Bright yellow, blue, hazel, green, purple are common colors. The majority have
hazel.
* Skin color: Various shades of light blue and light purple, some have medium tan, similar to
humans.
* Racial specific: All Draenai have short prehensile tails that starts at their tail bone, and
almost reaches their knees. Males who have reached a great age, will sometimes have a
tail that grows to their feet. Draenai have full control of their tail, as if it were a 3rd arm.
Draenai also have hooved feet, and reverse bending ankles, similar to Satyr legs. Other
than the above, they look essentially human.
