Half Kal Dorei
Half-Elf (Kal-Dorei)a) History:
No deviation from standard D&D description. However, there are some organizational differences that describe how Kal-Dorei Half-Elves interact in this world. all Kal-Dorei Half-Elves live within the society of their human parent, whether it was their mother or father. Kal-Dorei Half-Elves with an elven mother are born in their mother's civilization, as elven women would never give birth outside of elven strongholds, if they have a choice. Additionally, Kal-Dorei Half-Elves with a elven father will allow their human mate to have their child where ever she chooses. Despite the circumstances of their birth, Kal-Dorei Half-Elves will always spend their childhood in the society of their human parent.
B) Role Playing:
Kal-Dorei Half-Elves, like all half-Elves live a life of persecution, mistrust, and rejection. Their kind is simply misunderstood by others. As such, Kal-Dorei Half-Elves make great matches to classes where personal interaction is not needed, Such as rangers, Druids, and Monks. Despite the rejection that Kal-Dorei Half-Elves are subjected to, they still manage to have amazing physical appearances. they take on the most attractive features of both humans and elves. Often times, aggressive human men see female Kal-Dorei Half-Elves as easy targets to seduce. Consequently, male Kal-Dorei Half-Elves are often used as service workers for older women with great wealth, such as pool boys, gardeners, entertainers, and stewards.
C) Racial features: (These are in addition to standard racial features).
1) Kal-Dorei Half-Elves are typically unemployed, and most make due with the most bare necessities. This lack of resources has forced them to learn how to make due without creature comforts, but it has also taught them how to forage for basic survival items. As such, all Kal-Dorei Half-Elves get the Foraging proficiency as a free slot.
2) sometimes Kal-Dorei Half-Elves are unlucky in finding basic life necessities that they need. This forces them to live upon the generosity and charitable giving of others. As such, all Kal-Dorei Half-Elves get the begging proficiency as a free slot.
3) Because of the duality of their background, Kal-Dorei Half-Elves are exposed to both the dorei language, and the human tongue of their human parent. as such, all Kal-Dorei Half-Elves get both dorei, and the human tongue of their parent as free proficiency slots. Note: These count towards their max number of languages, but they are still free slots.
4) To make their way in the world, all Kal-Dorei Half-Elves typically learn an artistic ability, such as singing, poetry, a musical instrument, or other form of entertainment. As such, the player is allowed to choose one form of artistic ability as a free proficiency slot.
5) Because of the constant rejection and hostility that Kal-Dorei Half-Elves receive, they are forced from an early age to learn how to defend themselves. as such, all Kal-Dorei Half-Elves receive a plus 2 to strike and damage with any one weapon type. Note that this weapon type can include ranged, melee, fist weapons, or unarmed combat.
6) Defensive posture: Half Kal-Dorei are granted 2% additional damage mitigation to a single weapon damage type. Only one source may be chosen. The choices are: Edged, Piercing, or Blunt weapons.
D) Restrictions:
1) Due to the fact that Half-Elves are at constant odds with society, and subjected to racial
discrimination, all Kal-Dorei Half-Elves receive a permanent -5 to reaction adjustment. However,
if the half-Elf is a bard, this penalty is not applied.
2) Alignment: Can be any alignment.
3) Allowable classes: warrior, ranger, death knight, Priest, druid, shaman, monk, thief, bard, mage.

* hair color: jet black, dark to light brown, & red. Most have medium brown. All half-Elves
are physically attractive.
* Eye color: all ranges of standard eye color. The majority have hazel or blue.
* Skin color: Standard color for their human parent. Half-Elf skin is exceptionally soft on
females. Males are in
exceptional physical shape, featuring chiseled physiques.
